Broadsheet Sydney – Gondo’s Kitchen Pop-Up Dinner
Stephani Gondosiswanto’s pop-up concept started back in 2014 in her hometown of Jakarta, Indonesia. So far she has held seven pop-up dinners in Jakarta and six in Sydney. She aims to create a new and exciting dining experience for each one.
Having worked as a chef at Bowery Lane, Gondosiswanto decided to continue her efforts with pop-up dining. Following its success in June this year, Gondo’s Kitchen is back at Orto Trading Co., this time featuring a five-course, Indonesian-inspired feast of barramundi, king prawns, lamb ribs, salads and panna cotta.
Manual Jakarta – Common Grounds x Gondo’s Kitchen
Common Grounds has teamed up with Chef Stephanie Gondo for a second Pop-up Brunch this Saturday. If you’re still hesitating, here’s a photo coverage of last Saturday pop-up brunch to convince you.
It was completely coincidental that the charity dinner menu embraced traditional Indonesian flavours; not unexpected, though, since the roll-call of chefs (Tokyo Laundry’s Mulyadi Djunaedi, Muum Maam Barangaroo’s Santo Maximus, Miam Patisserie’s Meylissa Yusuf, and Stephanie Gondosiswanto from Pop Up Gondoskitchen) share Indonesian roots.
